OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY RT.HON. GABRIEL TORWUA SUSWAM Ph.D CON

Good day my Lord. Accept my condolences.It is so sad that you came back from abroad and met just the lifeless remains of your beloved father Chief Atodza Ihindan-whose life was snatched away by heartless and disgruntled beings. Death is a cruel creature but we not despise nature.
The last time i wrote to you an open letter I received and accepted many friend request on my face book time-line. I know all that requested for my friendship had different motives attached. Many only want to be following my posts on face book.
A lot of people are inquiring to know the bond between me and you. They want to know why I love writing about you,because,after writing and publishing two books on you I still writes and publishes articles about you on social media,news papers and magazines. What can I tell them? To me,our relationship have been cemented over the years as a result of Commitment.
Sir,you have endeared yourself to me as a result of your kind gesture and benevolent act to me.You extended your hand of fellowship towards me miraculously and saved me from hunger when you came to my school (NKST COLLEGE MKAR) for the launching of Mkar christian university Mkar while i was still an SS2 student. That day i got my first fifty thousand naira. You gave me a golden opportunity in life and I embraced. And that was why when you became Governor I published my first book: UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITIES OBAMA-SUSWAM GENERATION. And I,again,got my first One Million Naira from you alone. When I published the recent book: SECRETS AND REVELATIONS OF GABRIEL SUSWAM you gave me millions-that is what hard work,perseverence and commitment can achieve.
This letter is not just about me and you;it is also about you and Benue State. And about you and SANKERA. I specifically want to thank you for giving MINDA a sense of belongingby making it possible for them to govern our dear Benue State in this generation. Sir, it is still fresh in my memory,how against strong reprehension,attacks and formidable opposition,you still stood your ground and maintained that MINDA axis must produce the next Governor of Benue State in 2015.
Your Excellency,you demonstrated your unflinching love for MINDA by the way you empowered MINDA sons and daughters. To affirm the above statement,it was under your leadership as the Governor of Benue State that MINDA produced their firstAttorney General and Commissioner for Justice. It is also on record that it was during your tenure that MINDA axis was able to produce three speaker of Benue State house of assembly within four years simultaneously uninterruptedly. If it other governors they would have zoned it to another axis after the second speaker resigned but you were resolute in your determination to empower and prepare MINDA sons for leadership and the challenges that accompanies a leader.Against all odds you still made another son of MINDA speaker.
It is again on record that only a meek and mild person like you can put all his eggs in one basket. Your Excellency,you made Mr.HINGAH BIEM permanent secretary Bureau for internal Affairs.Mr. TIVLUMUN NYITSE permanent secretary Government House Administration. And to cap it all,a MINDA son was a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You did and gave your to MINDA. You as the Governor you were only in charge of the steering while MINDA sons were in charge of the break,the gear and the horn. I wanted to tell you this but some political sycophants did not allow me access to you,and all attempts to get you online proved abortive. I wish i could turn back the hand of time so that I would be made a special adviser.
Sir,permit me to also bug you with some issues that have been murmuring in the air. SANKERA have been thrown into oblivion. Our ears are filled with questions. We want to know our position in the sharing of national cake-especially appointments. As it stands no SANKERA child is in-charge of any federal ministry,board,agency,etc, even a national union leader. The only representative we have is by constitutional right; a house of representative member. Where can we go from here?
sometimes, because of my SANKERA people's naivety and ignorance, i feel ashamed to identity myself as a SANKERA boy. Many people, including some MINDA people treats us like aliens. they says SANKERA people came to government house and destroyed Benue state. where is our SANKERA arithmetic? You would have accepted zoning formula that denied JERCHIRA the chance of producing TOR TIV under the guise that "one rat can not have two tails?". Well you kicked against the sharing formula due to your love for MINDA and respect for traditional rulers; especially the TOR TIV’S stool.
SANKERA people cannot be reduced to whimpers. We must collective reactivate our conscience against 2019. And I pray God should halt the killings permeating in our land and the continues echoes of gun sounds reverberating across BENUE STATE.
Your Excellency, below I quote paragraph 22 of your 2007 inaugural speech. “as a democrat I am convinced that meaningful democracy cannot be achieved in the absence of opposition. We are therefore, not out to stifle opposition. We must encourage opposition by giving them access to government. For as the saying goes, the opposition must have their say even if we shall always have our way. We shall tolerate constructive criticisms but shall not condone any attempt by anybody or group of persons to undermine our mandate”.
And before I drop my pen I will like to remind you that you are the architecture and brain behind the emergence of MINDA son as governor. KWANDE (MIKE AONDOAKAA) and JECHIRA (ADA CHENGE) wanted to take advantage of the dogmatic sharing formula but you refused and single handedly kicked them out of the race. Any desperation to suppress the truth is not only reprehensible but also symptomatic of lack of character. And any further cosmetic ploy to deceive the masses would be apprehended by history. As I took a mental flight and ran through your virtual scorecard list of the good things you did for BENUE STATE, I can now strut about and unequivocally pronounce my loyalty to you.
Finally, after uncovering the truth about your role in Benue politics, I wish to advice that no matter how they would probe and witch hunt you, don’t be angry. SANKERA and MINDA people are too good to be destroyed overnight because of politics. Always read the whole book of ECCLESIASTES (CHAPTER 1 – 12)
